This video shows off the space station modelled by Shawn Sullivan with the new set of shaders, including:
- per pixel lighting (diffuse, bump maps, specular, self-illumination)
- reflections of the environment using cube maps
- billboards for the sun and space dust effects
- improved textures by Shawn to better understand the scale of the station
The second part of the video also shows seamless landing on an Earth-like planet. The planetary system includes a gas giant and many small moons.
This is so far the most advanced video of Infinity's seamless planetary engine.

This video shows seamless landing and take off from the ground surface of a planet in orbit to a gaz giant with a ring. It also demonstrates the use of atmosphere scattering to enhance the depth feeling, as well as many effects like per-pixel procedural terrain texturing on the graphics card, the clouds layer, the planetary terrain level-of-detail, and much more.
